GOOGLE finances IDLab’s research on prediction of online virality

At IDLab, our experts are working on unique tactics to drastically improve the prediction of which content will go viral.
Out of 1200 proposals, GOOGLE selected a collaborative research initiative from IDLab, NewsMonkey and VRT. Together, we will define, demonstrate, and evaluate novel approaches to support news reporters to predict the virality of their news articles, even before they publish it. With this project, we become a member of Google’s Digital News Initiative, a 150 million euro fund to support European Content and News Publishers.
